Career Development Sector

May 3rd to 5th,
2010 Sheraton on the Falls Hotel
Niagara Falls Ontario

Join community leaders, social innovators, career development and employment preparation practitioners, labour market experts and employers at the 11th Annual Opportunities Conference.

Network with peers. Interact with experts. Be inspired. Learn from successes. Advance your career. Develop your strengths. Enhance your agency's assets. Build organizational vibrancy.

Whether you're new to the training and employment sector, a long-time leader looking to enhance your skills, a manager focused on the sustainability and vibrancy of your organization, or a practitioner interested in personal and professional development, Opportunities 2010 is not to be missed.

50+ Interactive Workshops!

Participants will have the choice of attending over fifty workshops scheduled in seven time slots over the course of three days. These sessions will be facilitated by experts in the field and will be interactive, informative, and thought-provoking.

Interactive Panel Presentations - Experts dish on hot issues!

Opportunities 2010 will bring together an employer panel with representatives from a variety of sectors. These employers will offer insights into the skill sets they look for in new candidates as well as their organizations hiring practices. Our employers will each have an opportunity to speak during the first half of the session followed by Q&As.

Network, Network, Network!

Take the time to Network with delegates, speakers, workshop presenters, employers, sector councils, and others to learn more about one another and to share best practices. There will be opportunities to connect during the breaks, lunches, over cocktails and hors d'oeuvres and at the Monday evening dinner.

There will also be focused networking sessions on Tuesday May 4th. Be sure to sign up for the session most appropriate to you.

Increased Resource Sharing

The Marketplace is an interactive and informative exhibit area where leading organizations in the employment and training field can showcase their products and services.

The Marketplace has been an extremely popular way for previous conference participants to gain new resources and meet with leading thinkers in the industry. All meals, refreshment breaks and the networking reception will be hosted in the marketplace.
